2MW Solar Mount System on Sloped Terrain

2MW solar PV ground-mount system utilizing lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy mounting structures, successfully deployed on sloped terrain in Japan. This project demonstrates an optimized engineering solution for Japan's unique topographic and climatic challenges—including mountainous geography, seismic activity, high humidity, and typhoon-prone coastal zones—while complying with stringent local regulatory and grid-connection requirements.

Installation Site: Kagoshima, Japan

Installation Date: 2024.12

Generating Capacity: 2MW

Structural System: Aluminum Alloy Mounting Frames

  • Material Selection: High-strength aluminum alloy 6063-T5 / 6005A, anodized or coated for enhanced weather resistance.

  • Weight Advantage: Aluminum is ≈65% lighter than carbon steel, significantly reducing transportation and installation labor costs—critical for remote, sloped sites with limited access.

  • Corrosion Resistance: Naturally forming oxide layer eliminates red rust concerns, making it ideal for Japan's high-humidity, coastal, and acidic rainfall environments.

  • Service Life: Engineered for 30+ years structural performance with minimal maintenance.

2. Sloped Terrain Adaptation

  • Terrain-Following Design: The mounting system utilizes adjustable-height posts and multi-directional pivoting joints to follow natural ground contours without extensive grading or cut-and-fill earthworks.
