Welcome to KSM SOLAR
A PV standing flanged roof clamp is a non-penetrating mechanical device designed to attach solar components to standing seam metal roofs, distinguished by the presence of an integrated flange—a projecting rim, edge, or lip that enhances the clamp's mounting versatility or grip. These clamps provide secure attachment points without compromising the roof's weathertight integrity.
Zero Roof Penetration: Like all standing seam clamps, flanged variants attach without drilling or piercing the roof surface, preserving the roof's warranty and weatherproofing.
Flanged Interface: The defining feature is the flange—a horizontal or angled projection from the clamp body that serves either as an enhanced gripping mechanism that hooks under the seam's features or as a versatile mounting platform for accessories.
Dual Functionality: The flange allows these clamps to either grip specific seam profiles more securely (by hooking under the seam head) or provide a universal attachment point for various hardware.
High-Grade Aluminum: The main clamp body and flange are typically constructed from corrosion-resistant aluminum alloys (such as 6005-T5), providing strength without excessive weight.
Stainless Steel Components: Critical hardware—including set screws, bolts, and fasteners—is made from stainless steel (commonly SUS304) to prevent galvanic corrosion and ensure long-term durability.
Serrated Flange Nuts: Some systems utilize stainless steel serrated flange nuts that grip the mounting surface and resist vibration-induced loosening.
Protective Polymer Interfaces: EPDM rubber pads or gaskets protect the roof's finish, enhance friction, and accommodate thermal movement.
