Welcome to KSM SOLAR
This mounting solution utilizes precision-engineered aluminum clamps that grip the vertical ribs or seams of a metal roof. The defining feature is the "flange"—a protruding lip or hook on the clamp that engages with the geometry of the roof panel to achieve a high-strength, zero-penetration attachment.
Zero Roof Penetration: The system attaches without drilling any holes, completely preserving the integrity of the roofing membrane and upholding the manufacturer's roof warranty
Flange-Based Engagement: The clamps feature one or more machined flanges that hook into the undercut channels or lock onto the raised portions of the metal roof profile (e.g., the "rib" or "seam")
Two-Piece Design: Most flanged clamps consist of two mirrored halves. When the fastener is tightened, these halves draw together, clamping the roof seam between them. The integrated flanges ensure that as the clamp tightens, it locks under the seam's head, preventing lift-off
High-Tensile Structural Aluminum: The clamps are die-cast or machined from high-grade aluminum alloys (commonly 6005-T5 or 6061-T6). This material is chosen for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio, natural corrosion resistance, and compatibility with aluminum roof panels
Corrosion-Resistant Fasteners: All bolts, set screws, and washers are made from stainless steel (typically SUS304), eliminating galvanic corrosion between the aluminum clamp and the fastener
Protective Polymer Interfaces: EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber pads or gaskets are bonded to the contact surfaces of the clamp. These protect the roof's paint finish, provide a high-friction surface to prevent slipping, and accommodate minor thermal expansion movements
