Welcome to KSM SOLAR
This system represents a modular approach to rooftop solar attachment, combining a roof-specific clamp base with a versatile, multi-axis bracket (the L-foot) to create a secure and adaptable foundation for the entire solar array.
Unlike a single-piece integrated clamp, this system separates the roof attachment from the rail attachment.
The Base Clamp: The component that directly interfaces with the roof profile.
The L-Foot: The intermediary bracket that connects the base clamp to the mounting rail.
This two-piece design allows for a high degree of flexibility, as different base clamps can be paired with a standardized L-foot to suit various roof types.
The lower component is precision-engineered to match the geometry of specific metal roof profiles without causing damage.
For Corrugated & Trapezoidal Roofs: These clamps are designed to sit into the low valleys or straddle the high ribs of the sheet. They often feature a wide, padded base to distribute point loads and prevent "oil-canning" (distortion of the metal sheet).
For Standing Seam Roofs (if used): Although seam clamps are more common, this system can use a variant that clamps onto the seam, providing a non-penetrating attachment point for the L-foot.
Penetrative Variants: In some cases, the "clamp" may actually be a flashing base with a sealed lag bolt that penetrates the metal decking into the structural rafter below, used when the metal skin is too thin to hold a clamp
