C Steel with Screw Pile Solar Mount System

A ground-mounted C-section steel photovoltaic system with helical pile foundation and landscape (horizontal) module orientation represents a highly optimized, cost-effective solar racking solution for utility-scale and commercial solar projects. This system combines the structural efficiency of cold-formed C-section steel profiles with the installation speed and adaptability of helical screw piles, while the landscape orientation of modules maximizes wind load distribution and array stability

High-Strength Steel Grades: Manufactured from advanced high-strength steel grades including S350GD+ZM, S550GD+ZM, Q235B, or Q355B, achieving yield strengths up to 350-550MPa.

This enables thinner wall sections (typically 1.5mm to 2.5mm) while maintaining structural integrity, reducing overall system weight and transportation costs.

Cold-Formed Precision: Profiles are produced through precise cold-roll forming at ambient temperatures, ensuring consistent dimensions, smooth surfaces, and excellent fit during assembly. The cold-forming process is less energy-intensive than hot forging and allows holes and slots to be punched inline during manufacturing.

Pre-Galvanized Material: C-section steel for solar applications typically uses pre-galvanized coil, eliminating the need for post-fabrication hot-dip galvanizing and reducing both cost and environmental impact.

High-Performance Design Innovations: Advanced C-section designs feature upper and lower wing plates without holes, fully utilizing material efficiency and avoiding the performance loss associated with traditional open-section designs.Installation components can be attached at any point, greatly enhancing installation convenience and reducing worker workload.

Bending and Compression Resistance: C-section steel excels in resisting bending and compression forces, making it particularly suitable for withstanding continuous static loads from photovoltaic panels and dynamic loads from wind and snow.

Moment of Inertia Advantage: C piles demonstrate a higher moment of inertia compared to other pile types, which may make them more resistant to deflections and potentially allow reduced embedment depths (shorter below-ground post lengths), lowering overall cost.
